Cable testing and fault finding
Testing and fault identification for installed cables and cable sheaths, as delivered at the Ajban Solar PV Plant. We also carry out OTDR testing of fibre optic cables.
Overview
A cable can be installed correctly and still be damaged later by backfilling, heavy plant or a sharp stone in the trench. Cable and sheath testing finds those problems while they are still quick and cheap to fix.
We test installed cables, identify and locate faults along the route, and share the results with your site team so repairs and retests can be planned.
For fibre optic cables, OTDR testing checks each fibre along its full length and locates breaks, sharp bends and poor splices.
